Readyshare sharing violation with MacOS Excel on a XR500

When ever I save a .xlsx Excel file on a Mac to my XR500 Readyshare network volume, I get a sharing violation and a corrupted file gets saved.
Problem does not happen with Windows.
I have tried FAT, NTFS, HFS+ and EXT3 they all have the same problem. Also tried a different Mac and High Sierra version of OS, same problem. Also tried four different flash drives and one WD Passport, same problem.
Noticed that the problem also happens with Mac Powerpoint, but Word is fine.
Posted this question/problem on Netduma forum and they suggested this forum was the better place.
Any ideas on how to resove this sharing violation/corrupted file problem?

- Is it specifically that excel format? If you try a docx for example do you get the same issue?
- .docx worked fine in Word.I went thru all of the Excel file formats and found all the following gave the sharing violation error..xlsx.xltx.xlsm.xlsb.xltm.sltmAll the other Excel file formats work fine.
- I have no idea why that could be, perhaps make a ticket with Netgear. Meanwhile though, zip the file which will take 2 seconds extra then you should be able to share it.
