ReadyShare USB Storage Service Announcement by WS Discovery?

Can any XRxxx owner confirm there is (or is no) WS Discovery for the ReadyShare service (to access the USB storage by SMB protocol)? I suspect Netgear is here stuck on NetBIOS continuously requiring the Windows 10 SMB 1.0/CIFS Features need to be enabled to discover the ReadyShare (or whatever name you have configured for it) does become visible as WSD discovered.

bacevedo  or Netduma-Fraser or Netduma_Jack  or Netduma_Luke  : Is there a WSDiscovery process running on these routers?

Hi - this is probably one for TimChang to help with as ReadyShare etc. is handled in the NETGEAR firmware. Sorry we can't be more help.

There  is no WSD server running in our router.

Our Router relies on SMB 1/CIFS to discover the devices, if SMB 1/CIFS is disabled in windows 10, You cannot see READYSHARE in windows 10. (You should still can use Windows explorer access readyshare via \\Your Router IP address)

In windows 7, SMB 1/CIFS is enabled, so it can be discovered (possibly by netbios provided by the samba server in our router).

SMB is disbled in windows 10. Users can re-enabled it in Windows 10.
