VPN tunnel between 2 XR1000
I usually play Call Of Duty on PS and I almost always play in a party with a friend. We live about 350 miles apart and we get similar pings with the servers around us but sometimes we have to play while we are 1700 miles apart and we have to always have to only keep only one geo filter active because of the conflicts in ping times due to distance but whoever disables the filter usually ends up having a bad gaming experience because the filtering is based on one player so the other one almost always has to suffer. I cannot believe the duma os developers did not think about people that play in parties and did not create settings for this scenario 😩😩😩.
We were thinking of we could create a VPN tunnel between the 2 XR1000s so we could simiulate we are playing din the same location and hopefully improve the filtering process and game experience. Does this make sense and is it possible, if yes, how?
Also the worst experience is when connected to a pier instead of a dedicated server, could Duma Os developers PLEASE GIVE US AN OPTION TO BLOCK PIERS AND ONLY ALLOW DEDICATED SERVERS!!! Thank you very much for your help.

- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerThere is not much you can do in that scenario as the distances are so far apart. You're best off finding a server that is in the middle of both of you/that you both have a similar ping to. For example, I'm in the UK and one of my friends lives in Japan, when we play Apex Legends together we choose a US server that gives us each 140ms, not great but better for both of us that way. You could potentially do that perhaps but it would create more lag. CoD is a server based game so the peers are misclassified servers, use the Polygon to force the servers and block the others.
- RichardROAspirantThank you for the reply. I can clearly see peers labeled as "peer" and servers labeled as "dedicated", are you saying that it is possible to have peers labeled as "dedicated"?
Also using the polygon mode because of the map zoom level it still picks up a lot of area and in densely populated areas like LA it picks up a lot of peers around the server. I am sure it is possible to add an extra filter for dedicated servers only.
Also I am seeing some servers with good connection for my location on the ping heatmap but I am not seeing them show up on my Geo filter map. What is the reason?- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerMore likely the other way around, servers can sometimes be labeled as peers but that won't affect the connection either way. You can zoom in further and then draw the polygon, it won't be peers you're picking up. Ping Heatmap shows all the servers the game has, sometimes when playing some may be offline for maintenance or full etc. You will only see servers when searching for a game.
