Wifi network name changed and no pw requirement

I just had this happen to mine today but mine rebooted its self then changed both wifi names to Netgear with no password, and no the Default SSID is Netgear## in my case is NETGEAR96/-5G, I also want to know what happened.

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?\

    Is your XR model the v1 or v2 version? 


    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? 
    Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

    It's very likely that it lost power and so actually did a partial reset. Set it up again, change all your settings, reboot from the interface and wait 4 minutes before accessing and it should be fine.
