Xr-500 Losing Connection to internet
OK, ive read and tried to fix this with every thread on here so far and i cannot seem to get it working. I have an XR-500 Gaming router, ive had it for 5 months, and until 3 days ago have not had any connection losses yet, other than 1 about a month ago when we had a tree take out a line in the neighborhood and they had to shut our box off at the pole. I have fiber optics running into the house.
I have upgraded the firmware, tried changing settings in the router, making static IP's, resetting modem, doing all the different connection on resets that the other threads have suggested (starting modem but uplugged from router, start router, then plug in ethernet to modem, ETC) but nothing works. Im dropping all internet to the router, hard wired and Wifi, randomly. I do have an xbox, and its on standby but again, ive never had an issue until now, and its been hardwired the entire time, not on wifi. If anyone has any suggestions im open to it. The only way i got it to work before was to factory reset my xr-500 and start from scratch, my modem model number is 716GE-I.
This is the 3rd netgear thing ive owned that has completely went nuts on me in, like a curse, same as AMD/Radeon... lol

If you plug a computer directly into the ONT, does it work?
have you tried replacing the ethernet cables?
- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerHow often is the connection dropping? Do the devices reconnect themselves and if so how long does it take? When it drops have you tried connecting to the modem to see if that still has a connection?
