XR 500

Question

I have an XR 500 router and my internet cuts out every 4 hours. I have contacted my internet provider and they have not had any drops in internet shown on the modem. The firmware is up to date and I need some solutions to fix this. Anything would be helpful. My internet is steady and good the rest of the time, but every four hours it randomly cuts out.

I did do that. In LAN setup, I hit add then clicked on the device in the reservation table and hit apply. I tried it again just now so I'll have to wait and see if it works or not.&nbsp;

Could you take a look in Settings &gt; Monitoring &gt; Connection status please. When does it say you obtained the DHCP lease and when does it say it will expire?

It says obtained 8 hrs, and expires 7 hours 57 minutes.

I am also looking at the log and it says [DoS Attack: TCP/UDP Chargen] from an IP address that is out of my state, port 53, and it happened at the time my internet cut out this morning.
