Xr1000 and EAX80 not working

Hi any one out there running XR1000 or XR700 with a range extender EAX80 I am trying to configure and going through the setup wizards can see the two networks on the XR1000 once setup it’s like the router has not seen it! Anyone out there with the same issue??

    What do you mean it's like the router hasn't seen it? Do you get internet through the extender?

    The EAX80 is a mesh extender. 
    Meaning that if you set it up using wps or the default settings in the installation wizard, it uses the same SSID (name) as the router. 

    this allows devices to roam between the 2 networks as needed without you having to manually switch it. 

    Is this how you setup the device?

      I have been using web browser you can see the main networks, select and enter passwords, connect and it’s like the router just dose not want to connect. And the router light on it ext dose not light up.
