XR1000 Firmware Update
Hi everyone.
I logged into the Router via the DUMAS OS on my hardwired Desktop. I checked for XR1000 firmware updates and none were found. However, when I go to NetGear's site, I see that XR1000-V1.0.0.68_1.0.54 is available. I am curious as to why the update firmware tool in DUMAS did not find this update.
I am having no issues with my network and prefer not to go through the update/factory reset process, but do you think I should? Is this update critical for me to have?

- microchip8MasterNG sometimes forgets to push updates to their server so the update tool reports no new findings.
Updates usually come with release note. Read it and see if it's critical or not. - KitsapMaster
Most experienced users prefer to manually update the firmware on their routers. Instructions on how are provided here: https://kb.netgear.com/23960/How-do-I-manually-update-the-firmware-on-my-NETGEAR-router

That update is primarily a security update so I would recommend updating to it, you don't have to do the factory reset if you don't want to but if you then encounter issues I would suggest doing one as your first troubleshooting step.
