XR1000 fresh installation and speed capped
Good Afternoon,
I changed my network node from x4s r7800 to xr1000 and I am currently stack with a capped speed of 140Mbps download and 118Mbps upload for all device and subnetwork connected to the XR1000.
The router was brand new and in the first installation upgraded the firmware to the lastest version dated 06.04.2022.
I checked the community support and i tried to do factory reset, disable of armour, disable of QoS, setting of static IP, restarted several times but all the attempts to fix the issue/ remove this speed cap have failed.
Benchmark from DumaOs is correct with full speed of 1000Mbps in download and 150Mbps in upload and configuration is showing correctly these details. Similar speed test received on ISP router and for me it means that XR1000 is receiving the correct “speed” but is unable to keep it in output.
Network map is: FTTH -> openreach modem -> IPS modem (BT smart hub 4): Lan 1 PC , Lan 2 XR1000, Lan 3 and 4 empty, Wifi off.
On XR1000 is connect: Lan 1: VPN business router Lan 2 Laptop , Lan 3 TV, Lan 4 Bose soundbar. Wifi on with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, connected device 3x smartphone, 1x tablet.
Internet contract BT full fibre 3+ 900Mbps download and 110Mbps upload.
In details I tested with speedtest by Ookla from pc and smartphones, wifi compared between ISP router and XR1000.
The most strange thing is that despite if lan connected or wi fi connected the cap for all devices connected to XR1000 is 140Mbps in download and 118Mbps in upload, same device connected on ISP router show much better performance (never under 300Mbps download).
Any suggest/idea what can i do to remove this speedcap or fixing the issue.

- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerWe can't see your pictures until moderated, could you attach them directly or link to them? How did you disable QoS exactly? Can you unplug the PC from the hub please as that can draw bandwidth away from the router. How is the hub setup to pass traffic to the XR? Can you provide a screenshot of the table view of the Device Manager on the XR please?

Your ISP modem already has a built in wifi and router. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended.

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers
