Restoring is re-loading settings from a saved config file, the firmware update is what you want, following the link above will get you sorted

but when i try to restore the downloaded file it says the file is .chk when the downloaded file i sactually .cfg file. Anyone has any idea how to fix this and have the latest firmware on my xr1000 router ?
