XR500 - APEX LEGENDS ON PS5
Hello, good day to you.
I have an XR500 connected to a CM1200.
What would be the best set up for Apex Legends on PS5? I have tried the Geo Filter, but it will only work if the game will select the server within the selected filtered area. If the game picks a server outside of the area, it will kick me back into the lobby. I have port forwarded the router for my PS5 and for Apex Legends. I tried it this way and I also tried UPnP without the port forwarding option. I felt as though I was getting murdered out there with what felt like one or two bullets versus an increment of bullets. I just kept playing until a friend of mine mentioned that I died quickly several times. I live in Florida and the closest server to me would be in South Carolina but rarely is it ever selected. The current firmware version on the router is XR500 V2.3.2.134. What would you recommend? Please advise and thanks in advance.

- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerI can't see your screenshots but I think that's the way the game matchmaking works unfortunately - it doesn't restart the search. What is the average ping on the Geo-Filter compared to in game?

With the server the game assigns me to, the ping on the Geo-Filter shows 54 but I've been receiving an in-game ping of 70-90 on average.
- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerThat difference is processing delay, 70 would be okay but the 90 would be high - indicates the server is under load. Does the server selection on the game match where your Geo-Filter radius is covering?
