XR500 & EX8000

Question

So.. I got totally cheesed off trying to get a reliable ethernet backhaul working with my Orbi system and returned it.

I purchased an XR500 and a EX8000 which I use as an AP. All working great :-)
&nbsp;
However... in the network map on the XR500, any wireless devices connected to the EX8000 show as wired devices.
&nbsp;
Is this something that will be addressed in a firmware update?

Ah that's interesting, thank you for letting us know. I've added it to our roadmap under usability fixes. I can't promise when we would do this, but it's on the list!

Netduma_Jack Can you add fixing google play services not being accessible when the XR500 and nighthawk extenders EX8000/EX7800 are in mesh mode?

Its only not accessible when in that state? What about when connecting direct to the XR500, does it work properly then?

Netduma-Fraser&nbsp;That's correct. Even if I connect to the SSID of the XR500 by being closest to it and connecting with a full strength signal vs the EX8000/7800 I am unable to access google play services. With the XR500 as a stand alone it works. Mesh, it doesn't work. Also as a test I've tried using the EX8000/7800 as an Access Point with a wired connection to the XR500, it breaks google play services again. This happens if I connect to the SSID of the XR500 or the EX8000/7800 running in AP mode. There is something the XR500 does not like about having those extenders connected to it in any mode.

Interesting thanks we'll look into it. If you change DNS on the XR500 does it work then?
