XR500 antennas lookin for amplified antennas
I have an XR500 and want to get amplified antennas for it.
The 4 antennas - are there 2 for 2.4 and 2 for 5GHz?
Does it matter which antennas I get as long as they fit and the are 2.4/5 compatible?
Are all 4 for one band and there are internal antennas for the other band?

Why do you think amplified antenna's will be better?
If you have something that is far way that needs the signal to reach, it (the device) isn't going to have amplified antenna's to return a signal.
If you go into details on why you think you need this and what you're trying to achieve, we might be better able to help you.

There are no such items for wifi routers avaialbe anyways. Would be a different unit if there was and would have to run cables from the antenna connectors on the router to this external antenna unit. Would not be recommended.
If you need more signal coverage then you may want to check into a EX7700 or EX8000 extenders to help with coverage and range. I've had my XR450 connected to a EX7700 and work well in a 5000Sq ft home. Even better with a 2nd EX7700.
All external antennas handle the bands. There are no internal antennas.
