XR500 Port Forwarding Issue

So I am trying to open a specific port on my router and I can't seem to make it work.

First off my desktop is hardwired into the modem.  It carries the IP of 192.168.1.3.  I use Spectrum internet and the IP that they provide even though is not static it has been the same for a long while.

When I open the port I use the IP for the computer and have even tried setting it a default DMZ server.  I disable the firewall to the computer and disable the antivirus as well as check the box "disable SIP ALG" in the router settings.

However when I go to check the port it is still closed and no one can see my hosted server online.

What am I missing?  I have hit a wall with trying to open the port and can't seem to figure it out.

  • What is the model of your Spectrum modem? Is it a pure modem or does it provide you with WiFi as well?

The modem is a Netgear CM1200 and the router is the XR500.  The modem is just a straight modem and the router is what provides wifi.  The computer that I am trying to port forward is hardwired though and not using wifi.

Switch the NAT to Open in WAN Settings as well and see if that helps.
