XR500 Problems
My old R7000 is having problems so I drove an hour to get the XR500 that I've heard amazing things about. I installed the antennas as labeled, restarted my modem, and plugged in. Within a few minutes everything looks good. Power light, internet, 2.4 and 5 lights are all white. I look on my phone and the network isn't there. I scan the QR code, nothing happens. I manually enter the info, nothing happens. No big deal, I'll hardwire to the desktop and use routerlogin.net. Computer sees new network but won't open the page. It briefly brought up the red screen with setup instructions but never found the internet. I hardwire to the modem and confirm there is internet. I then try the Nighthawk app and it can't connect to the router. I turn Wi-Fi off using the on/off button on top, it never turns back on. I hit the reset button on the back and now the internet light is either orange or off. I plug the R7000 back up and I have internet instantly. Although the XR500 says it's broadcasting both bands, nothing in the house sees them. Did I get a bad router or is there a possible compatibility issue? I work for my ISP in tech support and set up Netgears daily so I know what I'm doing.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?- JRoss22Aspirant
I don't know the firmware loaded because I can't get anything to open up. Routerlogin.net does nothing. My modem is an Arris CM3200. I can't change channels or any settings because the router is apparently DOA. The internet light is on but it's not receiving internet. The modern is fine because I plug the line right back into the old router and the internet works. We have neighbors but never pick up their WiFi.
Just plugging up the XR500 should put out wireless but it doesn't. Hooking up via Ethernet does nothing either, I can't get anything to work or setup.

With the XR router disconnected from the modem and 1 wired PC connected to the XR router, press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release. Give it a minute or two then open a web browser and see if you can access the routers web page at 192.168.1.1
