XR500 readyshare not working?

Hello,

I am using a XR500 and want to use the USB storage option via the USB ports on the router.

I cant get it to work.

using the latest firmware and WIn10 pro 1803

USB setting is set to ON (enabled)

Used the instructions in the manual, nothing (\\readyshare)

Used al kinds of suggestions from the internet.

Formatted the drive in various fileformats.

Nothing...getting the diagnostic window from Win10, is not helping...

 

I noticed the ReadyShare store is greyed out. Is this normal? (see screenshot)

Is this a firmware bug?

    What browser are you using? Try FF or Opera?

    What Mfr and model# and size USB drive do you have connected?

      Hi, I have the solution. You have to use drives with USB3.0 connectors (the blue socket).

      With the 3 (older) USB2.0 devices I tried,  its not working.

      I will upgrade the HDD's, and insert them into a USB3.0 capable housing.

        Sounds like the Ports are not USB2.0 backwards compatible.
