XR500 with a CM1200 1gig cox service calble conneted to xr500 LAN

I've recently purchased the CM1200 modem and the XR500 for gaming on a PS4 console Call of Duty. due to latency, lagging and high pings, i upgraded my service to 1gig speed as well. I followed setup and configurations in manual best i could. my pings set at 25 and seem to connect in a resonable time at 300 miles. but im still experiencing lagging and latency.

Could some one please give me the best configurations needed for the PS4 call of duty for the XR500 so i can try to elemenate these essues.

    I would disable QoS as 1Gb services don't need QoS and can induce bad behavior. 

     

    I would not set any ping limits and widen the area of game play allowed with others. 


    Be sure your game console is wired with the router, not wireless connected.

      I would suggest you play around with the Geo-Filter by moving your home location and radius to force some other servers even if they're slightly further away and see if they play any better.
