App can't find the base station
Same problem here. App can't find the base station, not from wifi nor external access. Going directly to the ip address with browser fails, albeit while connected to wifi. I ran a ports scan and it reports 53 (dns), 80 (http), and 443 (https) are up.
$ wget 10.0.0.1
--2022-05-06 15:36:49-- http://10.0.0.1/
Connecting to 10.0.0.1:80... failed: Connection refused.
Looks like a firmware update 4.6.8.2 (Last Updated:04/27/2022). A LOT of people started having problems after this.
One of the new 'features' added in this release looks suspect.
Removes the remote management feature from the router web interface (if disabled at time of update) to improve router security.

Not a solution for me. I use firefox, no private relay.

Do you have Apple iOS device, if so, review this and see if any one of these Apple features help fix this.
What Brand and model ISP modem/ONT do you have?
Others have mentioned disabling of iCloud Relay helps as well.
Remote Management was removed a few FW revisions back. This not new.

I disabled the various apple settings with no change in results.

I’m having the same issue since the update. I haven’t been able to find a work around.
- jwaasTutorSo, who do we tell to get this fixed?

I hope there are some Netgear people on here and they will research and release a firmware fix. This of course would only fix for those of us that have the device configured to auto-firmware updates.
I had to relocate my satellite. Seems it has a hard problem reconnecting. (flashing light) I re-powered the base station and the flashing light went away. I have no way of confirming it's connected though without access to the device.

I am not aware of any user configuration to enable (or disable) automatic firmware updates.
