Orbi app on android phone "no internet connection"
I went to my Android phone to check Armor for my network (which I had recently renewed). It looked OK. I then looked at the Orbi app on my phone and it said “no internet connection”. I did a speed test from my phone and did very well (356 Mbps down and 34.8 up). I came to my PC and logged into ORBI and everything looked fine. Rebooted the router. Still could not get the ORBI app to work on my phone. Uninstalled it. Reinstalled it. Still does not work, saying no internet. What do I do now? It looks like this has been previously reported but I don't know the fix, if any...

the apps have to "phone home" to work or you get the "no internet connection" problem with the app. I ran into this issue running my unbound dns instance. Netgear gave me this list to whitelist:

BTW, if you like dns.adgaurd, check into a pihole. Its a fun little ad blocking hardware that isn't to expensive (and can be ran in docker if you already have a server). Works great and has a ton more customizations.

Is the Orbi app connected with
- Anywhere Access
- Local Connection
Which Orbi model is this?
- CCheckerAspirant
The ORBI is an RBK50 and the firmware is 2.7.5.6.
SOLVED! I went deeper into the phone and found that I had recently set a private DNS server dns.adguard.com to reduce the number of ads getting to my phone. I removed this and then was able to get back to ORBI on my phone! Thanks, all! Is there a way to use this private server for this ad avoidance and still get ORBI to work? If not, I'll settle for the ads...

Thanks, Plemans. It is a Hitron EN2251 modem from Spectrum. Orbi works fine from my desktop PC. I am not aware of any DNS blocking although I'm not that computer literate. My Orbi desktop speed this afternoon was 925Mpbs down and 40.35 up so it should not be an internet issue, in my opinion. The problem is the Orbi app on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra phone. All other apps work fine on the phone. The Orbi phone app is version 2.50.0.5135. On the phone, I open the ORBI app and it says No Internet Connection. Troubleshoot or Try Again. Troubleshoot says make sure device is connected to internet (it is), go to area with lower network congestion (I think this is NA and I'm sitting 2 feet from the modem and router, run a speed test (done and fine), restart modem and router (done), try again in a few minutes (done multiple times over several days), and contact your ISP. I haven't contacted Spectrum about this but the modem and router is working fine for the desktop PC.

What modem/gateway are you using?
Any built in DNS blocking like pihole or unbound?
