Does the supplier provide telephone service?
If not, there is a distinct possibility that the Orbi router can be connected directly to the Internet Service Provider (and the TP-Link device kept as a spare or returned).

Yes they do, and their thinking is that it has to do with the NBN connection. I didn't know you could connect the Orbi router directly to the NBN.
Is this something I could test without stuffing up the TP modem?
