I learned a solution by contacting 24/7 tech support by phone. The solution is to depress the reset button on the rear of the 870 router for 60 seconds two times. The LED power indicator lamp will turn from green to orange color. This action will erase the memory of the 870 device. The device will return to the factory set SSID. This will allow the Orbi app or the web browser interface to find the device and link to the device. Thanks to everyone for the coaching tips.

A 15 second press on the reset button and release should have worked as well.
