802.11AX Speed - ORBI RBK852
OK folks I need your help. I am very technology savvy, but I am just lost.
Topic 802.11AX speed on Orbi RBK852 Wifi 6
Environment: Orbi AX6000 system working just fine
Problem: New network 802.11AX network card not giving me over 1Gb speed
OK folks you have been here in my shoes. You upgrade to the latest and greatest technology, things are working ok. Now its time to test the power or 802.11AX. I purchased an ASUS AX3000 PCE-AX58BT, this is basically a 802.11AX wifi 6 PCIe card. It is a high end solid intel chip card. I install it, put the latest drivers on it, and start transferring data. The network shows this:
Protocol: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
Security type: WPA2-Personal
Network band: 5 GHz
Network channel: 48
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Description: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz
Driver version: 21.80.2.1
SO! Im thinking this is gonna be great! Transfer some data, yes it seems faster but when I go into Wi-Fi Status is says I am connecting at 1Gb. I was like what??? My old USB 802.11AC was at 1.3Gb so what gives?

IF your old USB card connected at 1300Mbps then possible something going on with your new AX card. If it supports AX modes, then 2400Mbps should be seen on the 5Ghz radio. 1200Mbps on 2.4Ghz.
Check with the mfr of this new card to see if there is any advanced tuning configurations for it with in the driver UI.
What FW do you have loaded on the RBR?
Im seeing over 1900Mpbs speed rates with my ASUS GT-AX11000 in wireless bridge mode connected to my RBR850:
Im on:
Firmware Version
V3.2.10.11_1.2.12One base and 1 salatite. It is connected wifi 6 to router base.
So frustrating. The MFG support is DOWN during Covid-19. uggggg
