If the ISP has confirmed a problem with their service, that would seem to indicate that it is not a fault with the customer router.
"Step One" in diagnosing ISP issues is to connect directly to the ISP device (modem, fiber ONT, whatever) with an Ethernet cable and verify that it is working.
In the "old days", most customers had a computer or laptop with an Ethernet port. As this has become less common, many of us purchase Ethernet to USB adapters, which allow us to connect a tablet or smartphone to the ISP device. (under $15 on Amazon)
This step is often recommended when there are questions about internet "speed". i.e. it is impossible for any device connected to a customer router to achieve greater speed than when connected directly to the ISP device.
p.s. because some of my devices have USB-A ports and some have USB-C ports, I purchased Ethernet-USB adapters of both types.
