A friend sold me a CBR750 that he bought on August 13, 2022. I am having issues getting it to work. I cannot recieve support from Netgear because is is slightly out of warranty. Would it help to re-register this device in my name? Can I set it up without registering it in my name. Are there advantages to bieng able to use the orbilogin to view this modem router? I have spend several days trying to get it to work using xfinity to help me but no luck. I have been using a Netgear C3700 which I recently purchased but it is not powerful enough to reach my garage 20 feet from my home. Also, with the C3700 I am getting a speed of 250 using an ethernet cable but only 15 using yifi speed test. Please help me...

You can set it up with out registering the CBR with NG.
However you'll need your ISP to register the MAC address of the CBR so it connects to the ISP services correctly.

What FW is loaded on the CBR. You can log into the CBRs web page at 192.168.1.1 if you press the reset button for 15 seconds then release.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
to login to cbr website do I?
Just put 192.168.1.1 in the search or web address bar? and hit enter?

my home is about 3000 square feet.
1000 square feet per level.
I do have a satelite with this modem router.
