AP mode wiring
Hi, Does this wiring work with AP mode setup? or does everything still need to connect back to the orbi router?
I found the image on google.
Thanks!

Helpful person on Google was mistaken. The correct method is to connect from the ISP device directly to the router WAN (yellow) port. Then from one router LAN port to the switch (as shown). Move that one cable.
- rayjaiGuideI see, thank you. That setup won't work for me then.
My router is behind a thich concrete wall and it very weak at penetration. But that's the ideal spot for the router because that's there all my cables start at my house.
I tried placing another satellite beyond the wall and the signal is still too weak. Or causes interference.
Is it possible to disable the wifi on the router and have the satellite create the mesh?I am confused.
- The ISP device is not located physically near the router.
- There is one Ethernet cable running from the ISP device to the location where the switch is.
- The router and the switch are located at the central wiring hub.
- Instead of connecting that cable from the ISP to the switch, connect it to the router.
- Leave the cable connecting the router and hub in place.
OR.... is the router NOT in the same location as the switch?
