Bose Activation Failed
I recently switched internet providers and also upgraded to the Orbi RBRE960. When I try to add my Bose products to the new Wi-Fi I am able to get the Bose product to connect to the Wi-Fi however on the next screen I get an Activation Failed error.
Bose tech support has all but said they can’t try anything else and it must be a setting in the router.
Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks!

What bose product?
Is your phone connected to the 2.4ghz? Some of the poorer coded devices need the phone on the same band for setup.
What modem is the router connected to?
What firmware are you on?

Products: 700 Soundbar, 500 Home Speaker, Portable Smart Speaker
Band: with RBRE960 it has 2.4, 5, and 6 however it only displays as 1 single Wi-Fi option e.g. I don’t see WIFI2.4, WIFI5, WIFI6
Modem: I have Spectrum Fiber. I’m not sure what the modem is. They didn’t give me a choice to use my own (reason they gave was because it’s fiber)
Firmware: Orbi Router Firmware - V6.0.3.85
I do have the option of creating a WiFi-IOT (internet of things) band. I did try it but it too failed. I’m not certain if my phone was on that band or not though.
there should be a fibre gateway with a model number on it. Do you have that?
Also, are you using ios or android for setup?
