can not connect to VPN

Just got my Orbi RBR750 last week. I can connect to vpn to login to my work using a wired connection.  when I am on a wifi connection, I can not connect to my vpn. A workaround I found is to connect to vpn first when I am on wired connection, unplug the wire, and connect to my wifi. I can not connect/disconnect and reconnect again to my vpn. Any settings I should check on the Orbi?

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
    Is the Orbi system operating in Router or AP mode?

    Does this happen on your one device or others as well?
