DHCP Reservations Not Working on RBKE963 (WiFi 6E Orbi)
Whenever I try to set a DHCP reservation on my RBKE963 (in this case, for my desktop PC & a game console on my network), the devices just seem to ignore them and continues using their default DHCP address (for example 192.168.1.18 for my desktop instead of 192.168.1.100). This occurs after making sure I hit the apply button and rebooting the router as well, so I don't know what to do at this point. Any help or tips?
- This has been an issue on Orbi for years. Sad to see the newest model exhibits the same behavior. My technique is to power off the affected device. Configure some other device with a static IP of the incorrect IP. Then, reboot the affected computer. Orbi will detect that the IP is already on the network and give out the correct one.
Something that may not be obvious is that reserved IP's should be apart from the "pool".

That worked! Shame I had to do that workaround though.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
