Feature Request: Separate SSID for 2.4gz and 5gz transmissions
Dear Netgear,
For the ORBI RBK752, please allow the user to rename the SSID for both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi services or permanently assign 2.4gz or 5ghz to devices. There are many use cases where this is needed:
-Connected devices like cameras and doorbells that keep switching between 5ghz and 2.4ghz and losing connectivity because they are just on the outskirts of 5ghz.
-Gaming devices that keep switching between 2.4ghz and 5ghz, making gaming unplayable.
-Steaming devices that will hand or lag because they are switching between 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
Many of the 1-star reviews I've seen online that reference frequent disconnects can be resolved by letting the user separate which devices have access to 5ghz and 2.4ghz.
Many of the Youtube reviews that show inconsistent performance with this wifi router could be solved by separating the SSIDs.
I am on the verge of returning this router because some of my critical devices keep losing connection because they are switching between 2.4ghz and 5ghz all the time!!!

Please post about this over in the Idea Exchange forum:

You'll probably find others with same request I'm sure. FYI, this has been a long standing request since Orbi first came out and NG has not supported it nor given in to requests for it.
Try turning down the power output of the RBRs wifi radios from 100% to 50% and see if this changes anything. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
