Firmware suggestion

Hello community,

I have been reading the forums actively and read a lot of concerns.

Here is my 2 cents,

Use firmware version:

7.2.6.31

for the best experience and functionality.

Please Netgear, I have the RBRKE964B x2

There's units are not cheap.  I'm waiting for the next firmware release and will test and report.

  • IPv6 is also a must for me, I posted elsewhere that I am disappointed that a firmware version was released in February that clearly has issues for us with native IPv6 from our Internet providers...going on the tail end of June and nothing.... shameful really in my opinion. I also am still running v7.2.6.31

Been using v.15 FW version for over 10 plus days and have had zero issues with it on my 963 series:

Share your Orbi 350, 750, 850 or 960 series system UpTime | NETGEAR Communities

Others show having longer system uptime as well on this version of FW.

I saw 30 days uptime on my 853 series as well months ago.

Only issues that seem to cause problems on this version of FW is if you need IPv6 support from your ISP. Those having this seem to have issues with this version of FW. My ISP doesn't support native IPv6 so I don't see this issue. So we do recommend using v.31 or v.21 as those versions don't have IPv6 issues and if you need IPv6 to work right.

    • Hi,

IPV6, is a must for me. As is works great on v31.  On the latest version v.15, IPV6 will work, until a reboot or power outage happens.  Then system will fail to connect to sats and devices.  NOTE: only when IPV6 in enabled.  When IPV6 disabled, system ok but not a stable.

Ya, IPv6 is broke on v.15. Otherwise, if disabled, v.15 has been stable on my system.
