How to Assign Static IP for RBS850

I have a new RBK853 system and need to be able to assign static's IP addresses for the two satellites. How do I do this? As an example since the router is 192.168.1.1 I'd like the two satellites to have IP's 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3

If possible I'd rather not have the solution be a Reservation.  This system is a week old, connectivity is phenomenal and I have the latest firmware.  I have about sixty devices connected.  I was able to figure out how to change the DHCP scope from the default even though Netgear support said it couldn't be done (but that's another story).  My DHCP scope is now 192.168.100 and up.

About twenty of my devices already have static IP addresses from using them with my previous Linksys setup.

Thanks in advance for your time.

  • Perfect - thanks for the info.  I just asigned them dot 2 and dot 3

    Appreciate it!

Update / clarification - It seems I WAS able to add reservations outside of my DHCP scope.  Since my scope starts at 192.168.100.x my satellites are 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3

  • You can only IP address reserve IPs for the RBS ON the RBR. It's what I use and works well and I always know the address for each RBS.

My scope is 192.168.0.100 to .150 since I have less that 50 devices. My RBS are at .100 and .101.

      Can you clarify please?

Are you saying I can only assign static IP's for the satellites via a reservation?  If that's the case does it have to fall with my DHCP Scope's range, in my case 192.168.100 - 192.168.1.254?
