HP Officejet Pro 8620 Cannot Connect to Internet
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer. I also have an Orbi - AX 6000 Router. I am enrolled in HP Instant Ink program which requires my printer to connect to HP servers. I have internet connection...
Many printers offer two types of network connections:
- To a local network, which assigns them an address (IP) and which allows devices on the network to connect to the printer.
- WiFi Direct, which allows devices to print directly to the printer without using the local network
The HP printer can reach HP servers only when it is connected to the local network. When you look at the WiFi router Attached Devices, what IP address is assigned to this printer?
Thank you for your response. I've checked the printer local network option, and the "local network" option is selected. The IP address in the connected router is the same as shown on the printer. The printer still shows "not connected to the internet".
