Intermittent packet loss on RBK753S
Hi,
Recently got my RBK753S from Costco and I'm noticing that one of the satellites gets a dropped packet once in a while.
This is from my PC connected to the Satellite pinging the RBR750:
Ping statistics for 10.0.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 1775, Received = 1767, Lost = 8 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 153ms, Average = 9ms
It's a very low amount of loss, but it's very noticeable because when the packet is dropped, I notice that my remote connection to work stutters, my calls on my VPN phone goes to dead air, and my Video conferences drop out for a second.
I'm on the latest Firmware V4.6.5.14 on the all 3 of the devices, the Router and 2 Satellites.
I've tried resetting all the devices. I have a 1Gbps fiber connection from ATT using their gateway in Passthrough mode connected to the RBR750.
The satellites are using the 5Ghz wireless backhaul and since every device connected to the satellite gets the dropped packet, this seems to be an issue with the wireless backhaul rather than device connection to the Satellite.
Has anyone experienced this before? About to go down a rabbit hole of troubleshooting. - Thanks

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try disabling AX mode on the RBR, then change CTS values to 2347 Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Yes.
4000 Sq Ft 2 floors
All the devices are at least 30 feet apart.
I've tried all of the channel settings with no improvement.
No neighbors behind and front. My neighbors to the left and right are 1/4 acre away.
Already tried disabling AX mode from suggestions in other threads with no improvement.
Reading more through the forums, it looks like this is a common issue with these devices and the only fix is to downgrade Firmware.... Looks like this is going back to costco
Ok.
