The Roger’s router is an CGM4981RG. Not too helpful looking it up but seems to be a 6/6E device.
I see the 7.2.8.5 FW release, have to load it manually, auto settings say I’m upto date.
yes I’m in Cacada and maybe that’s why the new FW is not showing.
will let you know my results.

Amended Details:
IOS 26.3 (iPhone 13 Pro Max/iPAD Pro M2) ORBI RBKE963 w/2 Sats
When I work with devices I'm 2-3' away from the router unit on WiFi and use a MacPro / Windows machine for wired access into the router to manage configs.
Armour:
Removed VPN setting and disabled.
Finally removed it.
iPhone settings disabled:
Private WiFi
Limit IP Address Tracking
Wifi Assist
Procedural:
Forget and Reconnect to WiFi
Reset of Network settings
ORBI:
Factory reset - reconfigure defaults for access
After many combinations of the above no device running IOS 26.3 can reach the internet but they can connect to the WiFi successfully and appear in the access control table.
If I could down grade I would cause when I get into a trouble shooting cycle everyone gets annoyed with me.
Phone is back typical secured settings cause I have to work, but next round when I have time will be to backup the phone and iPad and reset to factory defaults.
I have disabled other iPhones and iPads from upgrading to 26.3 otherwise there will be a revolution in the house.
My other question is: Is there a debug mode in the ORBI software I can use to see what's it's doing to make it's connection and see what it failing on? Would make life so much easier, all this autoconfigure stuff doesn't allow for me to control the vertical.

Something to try on your iphone instead of doing a full on factory reset. Try the Network Reset instead. I happened to try this on my Iphone 12 a couple of years ago. Iphone was having problems printing from photos app to a wireless connected printer with the phone. Would print correctly from Safari but not the photos app. Went thru all kinds of troubleshooting thinking it was a printer issue. I happended to try this Network Reset on the iphone and BOOM, photos app started printing correctly to the printer.
This almost sounds like a iphone or iOS issue as the iOS was recently released from Apple as well.
