The Roger’s router is an CGM4981RG. Not too helpful looking it up but seems to be a 6/6E device.
I see the 7.2.8.5 FW release, have to load it manually, auto settings say I’m upto date.
yes I’m in Cacada and maybe that’s why the new FW is not showing.
will let you know my results.

Did the Network Reset as it's the simplest to do without going the full nine yards without a backup.
RBR firmware is V7.2.8.2_5.1.18 latest.
It's the Rogers one, newest, Don't have details handy, but just fixed the speed by using port 4 with the red bar which is for Fiber speeds because I was getting choked at 700-800Mbs now cranking 1700-1900Mbs
IPV6 disabled
ISP DNS, I used to use custom but that was causing other issues

If you can get the model# of the Rogers ISP unit please when you can.
Seems like there was a connection speed port issue that you fixed at least.
v.2 FW is not the latest for the 960 series:

Well just completed the FW update to 7.2.8.5 release. Router first followed by satellites. That went well no issues.
connected my iPhone, with all my bells and whistles. And I can say it works fine now. Very happy this did the trick.
next time I will manually check for firmware updates. I think I’ve been doing this for too long I got complacent that the auto update does all the checking for me. lol, serves me right and I’ll adjust my troubleshooting so I don’t go down the rabbit hole next time.
I appreciate the guidance, it’s always the simple things that get you.
