I called my ISP and they confirmed I have an ipv6 connection available from them on a fiberoptic connection to my Orbi RBR 850 which will not transmit ipv6 to my network and when I run an online ipv6...

It would be interesting to see a summary of which Netgear WiFi7 Orbi's (770, 870, 970) are known to support IPv6 (or fail to support IPv6) on each of the major Internet Service Providers.
i.e. Does IPv6 FAIL for the 870 on every ISP? Do 870's work on cable systems (Comcast, Cox, Spectrum), but fail on fiber systems?

IPv6 issues are known across ALL orbi systems. Many ISP levels with the ISPs as well. We've made NG aware of the issues at hand and others have been working with NG on this. Seems to take some time and have no idea if or when a fix will be forth coming. All in the hands of NG. Users will need to keep IPv6 diabled for now while on newer versions of FW if they choose to run with newer versions of FW. Othersize for AX and AXE series, and you want IPv6 working, can revert back to older versions of working FW which was reported by others for a work around for now.
We'll keep checking with NG on this.
Good Luck.

I'm on Cox fiber, odd part to me is prior versions (before v7.2.7x.) worked flawlessly and has remained broken with the last 2 updates of firmware. Also the time frame seems a bit odd with such a major brand and the length of time for a repair...almost a year now...just strange they have been unable to sort it out.

Minor correction to my last post. 3 firmware versions, not 2 since IPv6 has failed to stay connected.
Broken using:
v7.2.7.15
v7.2.8.2
v7.2.8.5
