Just moved, took Netgear modem and orbi 850s to new home. Orbi won't recognize Internet.
Title says most of it. I just moved into a new home, brought my modem and orbi 850 with me from my old place to the new one. No issues at old house. Xfinity tech came out this morning and provisioned the modem for our new account. I plugged the orbi in after that and it didn't have Internet. Took the Ethernet from the modem directly to my computer and Internet worked fine.
Tried a few things, got nowhere. Did a factory reset on the orbi and tried going through new install instructions line by line. Reset modem, got internet up and running, plugged in the orbi then powered it up. The app found the orbi on my phone but it just gets hung up on the checking for Internet step. If I unplug the Ethernet from the orbi and go right to my computer, Internet works fine.
We do not have any kind of static IP or pppoe setups. This is just straight gigabit Xfinity service, same as we had at the house we just moved from.
I'm at a loss here and with the Xfinity letting us use fire sticks and chromecasts instead of cable boxes, we are without tv or Internet throughout my home until I figure this out. Any help is greatly appreciated!

something to keep in mind is that the cm1150v has 4x ethernet ports. But with xfinity, only 1 device can be connected to it because they only assign 1 public ip address.
So try this.
Disconnect everything from the router and the modem. (even coax from modem)
then power them both down for 10 minutes.
connect coax back to the modem and power it on.
Wait 2-3 minutes for it to fully boot.
Plug port 1 on the modem into the wan port on the router.
Boot up the router. Give it a couple minutes to fully boot.
Attempt setup on the ethernet connection in the router.
make sure nothing else gets plugged into the cm1150v

what modem do you have?
- Nighthawk cm1150v. Used both successfully together at previous house.
