Log file empty

Hello my log file on rbr850 is blank no matter what options I pick it shows nothing on the admin screen. This is a must for my business. I've restarted the router and still blank. Latest update as well.

What are you expecting to learn from the log file?

I enabled "almost everything" and my log fills in about two days.  If you enable them all and click on Apply and nothing ever appears in the log file, there is something seriously wrong.

Latest firmware for  the 850 is 4.6.14.3: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/rbr850.aspx#download , correct?

Sometimes a router gets in a crazy state and needs to be reset more than a simple power on / power off can do.  I have had success with a quick Factory Reset:

        • Save a copy of the configuration to a computer (Advanced Tab, Administration menu, Backup Settings
        • Get out a paperclip, unbend part of it, and stick the end into that tiny Reset hole next to the power switch.
        • Hold the paperclip in until the power LED turns amber and begins to flash.  Can take 10-15 seconds.
        • Remove the paperclip.
        • The router should reboot and all user configurations and misc. information should be erased. (maybe including whatever was messing up the log file).  The web credentials will be "admin" and "password".
        • Go through the setup, but ignore all offers to actually "do anything"
          • Do not reset the WIFi SSID/password
          • Do not register the product (again)
          • Do not enable Armor, Parental Controls, etc.
        • When you finally get to a page that offers this choice:
          • Reload saved configuration, or
          • Continue to set up manually
          • Select Reload configuration. Browse to where the config file was saved.
        • The router will again reboot, and all those user settings will return.  The WiFi SSID/password, login password, any device assignments, DNS changes, OpenVPN settings, etc. etc.

This process can be done in 10-15 minutes.
