Maximum number of 960 satellites?

I have an RBR960 with 5 satellites covering my main building. The router is running in AP mode.

I want to extend coverage into an adjacent building using the same broadband link.

I have purchased an RBR960 plus 2 satellites to cover the new area.

Does anyone have any guidance or suggestions regarding:

  1. adding the new equipment as satellites to the existing configuration
  2. configuring the new equipment as a separate network

I guess the fundamental question is how many satellites can be added to a single configuration?

Any advice appreciated,

Thanks

If the new 960 router and satellites are installed in the remote building, they create a separate network. It may be configured with exactly the same WiFi credentials (SSID/password) as the existing system and may be set up in AP mode which means that the primary router will assign IP addresses, but it will be a separate network.  The original 960 will have 5 satellites and the new 960 will have two.

The main issue is how to connect the Ethernet WAN port on the new 960 router to the primary network.
