My guest network had been working fine until recently

I was having the same issue when "enable smart connect" wasn't selected.   My guest network had been working fine until recently.  I noted that deselecting also resulted in the 5G network not accessing the internet.  So I checked "enable smart connect" again, and now my guest network has internet access again.  I don't know if 5G is working though because it doesn't tell me which frequency is being accessed with smart connect enabled.   The issue only came up because my new Samsung fridge can only connect to 2.4GHZ so I had to go in and disable smart connect to isolate it. After many hours (over many days)  I only have 2.4 ghz guest network and smart connect enabled and all seems to be ok now.

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

    How was the FW updated? Manually or Auto Update? 

    Has a factory reset and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser been performed since last update? 

     

    What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
    What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
