My Orbi RBR750 runs at half half speed.
For some reason, my RBR750 is running at half speed. I am supposed to be getting 200 Mbps. When I connect the PC directly to the modem, I get 200+, when i connect the Orbi i get from 85 to 95, never really reaching even 100. i was not paying attention when this started happening. It is possible it happened when I updated the firmware in the router and the satellites. Anyone knows how to fix this issue?
As a complaint, the "Associated Products" should have the name of the product name. Even more when it is a required input. The product name on the Bottom of my router is RBR750. that name does not appear on the choices. I had to put what I think it was years ago when I bough it. But somehow I think it is not really.
Well, problem fixed. Change all the cables just in case it was the cables. . But I had to reset the Orbi to factory settings. I didn't want to reset the thing to original factory settings because there are a lot of things on wireless, not counting having to reset the three satellites. But that did it. I am back to 230 Mbps. Now I have to reset the satellites and reconnect the 5 security cameras, the thermostat, the 3 echos, two TVs, PS5, PS4 and i am pretty sure I am forgetting two or three other things that I dont remember. I hate it, but at least I am up to speed.
I rechecked and I am abou5t 90% sure the speed dropped right after I updated to the last firmware about three months ago.

You can check and see if its connecting at gigabit speeds.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

Firmware version V4.6.14.3_2.3.12
There is no manufacturer on the modem. It reads XB7 CM. I did some research and someone said it is an ARRIS TG4482A.
The LAN cable is a CAT6. When connected directly to the Modem, it reaches 200+ speeds, when connected to the ORBI, it dips below 100. Today is reading from 58 to 80 Mbps.

Please describe more about how speed is being measured:
- Using a Speed Test run on the PC when it is connected to the router or to the XB-7?
- The Cat6 cable connecting the PC to the Orbi is disconnected from the Orbi, the Orbi is disconnected from the modem, and the cable is connected to the modem?
- i.e. only one cable is involved in the test scenarios?
plemans suggested that it would be useful to determine which speed the modem and Orbi have negotiated.
(See Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonegotiation ) This is a feature built into the physical Ethernet adapter hardware for the past 20+ years. If the modem/router have negotiated a speed of 100M/Full Duplex, then is is impossible to measure a speed as high as 100Mb/sec (because of Ethernet overhead).
The primary cause of the auto negotiation failing is "something about the cable" between the modem and router.
- Perhaps one of the tiny gold wires in one of the RJ45 jacks is bent or out of alignment.
- Perhaps one of the RJ45 plugs is not crimped entirely correctly.
- Perhaps the cable has been strained or crimped at some point.
- Perhaps one of the plugs is not seating correctly (the tiny 'snap thingy' is worn or loose).
The most obvious trouble-shooting step is to swap out the cable between modem and router with a new cable.

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
