WOW, this morning about 2am i decided to update my two ORBI RBS satillites first. and that went ok, till a fantom ORBI showed up in my Orbi App. i then proceeded to update the RBR750, that went well till it said it was online but it wasnt. i followed the directions according to Furrye38, (ty) and i unplugged the sats and then the router, waited 2-3 minutes then i plugged in the router and then the sats and waited........it took a few minutes and the router came online then the sats followed. it still took some time for all my devices to get back on line (about 60), which is normal thing that has been happening. then today was the test. we had some heavy thunderstorms roll in, these south florida storms alway knock out some power or damages some weak transformers to were the power goes on and off real quick. it happened 3 times in a half hour i also have the comcast modem and the RBR750 plugged into a surge and battery back up. the weakest like here is the sats, no battery-back up for them and they used to take forever to re-sync but after the upgraded firmware last night, WOW, the ORBI's came right back online which shocked me, i thought i would need to reboot the sats. but no input from me and the whole system came back online quick. i am no IT guy here but this is a major inprovement from the previous firmware that almost killed the ORBI system. thanks to all here on this forum, i have learned alot from here.

This has been a rock solid system for my home for almost a year. Pretty much zero issues ever. Like most in here I have also had issues since the upgrade. It is not the Close Encounters of the 3rd kind rotating alien rave lighting issue people are experiencing. Nor is it the lost RBS or speed issues.
My issue is related to the comatose RBR. Everything is fine as I go to sleep but I wake up to find nothing connected to the internet and an unresponsive RBR. After a quick unplug plug back in of the RBR power cable it works again until the next day. However, it had started to display the same issue several times a day so on Friday I called support and after an hour and some long distance remote control by support, they said all should be good but incase it is not we can do other things like downgrade FW. Left the ticket open just in case. They forced the 2.4 to channel 9 and changed Preamble Mode to Long Preamble.
All was good until yesterday when it started the comatose pose again. Today it started having seizures during my WebEx calls so I tried to downgrade FW but ran into the "Ha-Ha, you can't do that" unless you stand on one leg while holding a rabbid teething puppy issue.... but I have work so I cant do it until I find the the way people mentioned in here and my work has ended.
So, during breaks I have been reading a bunch of the replies in this and other threads until I have wanted to gauge my eyes out.

I have decided to change these settings to see if it can stableize:
- Internet IP Address - Use Static IP Address
- Domain Name Server (DNS) Address - Use These DNS Servers
- and set all devices to have Reserved IP addresses
I will see if it hoses anything up or if it stablizes.
Anyone have a link to the downgrade FW proceedure?

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Try disabling AX mode on 2.4Ghz and set CTS to 2347 on the RBR?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Spectrum modem: Motorola E31T2V1
CTS has now been set to 2347

Try try the new CTS value before deciding to downgrade. Others have mentioned that the CTS value change and disabling AX mode on 2.4Ghz seems to help stablize there systems.
I would also power OFF the ISP Modem and RBR for a minute or more then back ON as well.
You can downgrade later if you feel the need...
- 225dougNov 30, 2021AspirantMy modem is an arris 822g I believe. Should not be a problem. Worked fine before. I have the router direct from the modem and the satellites direct from the router hardwired I believe with cat 5. I disconnected one satellite and found I had a rally good connection where it was located. 200/30 is the internet speeds. So I think that satellite may have been too close? But they are all hard wired. I disconnected everything, and rebooted the router first then connected the satellite. Interestingly, the router firmware ends in .5.16 and the satellite says .3.16. Should I be rebooting after the satellite is also connected, ecahse I could t reboot that separately.

Is this a TM or TG 822?

Regardless of wireless or ethernet connected RBS, the distance between the RBR and RBS and each other should be 30 feet or more. Being too close to each other can cause problems.

For RBR750 it should be v4.6.5.14 or maybe v4.6.3.16, and RBS, if using older FW, should be v4.6.3.16. The RBS should be using same version, v4.6.5.14, that should be loaded on the RBR.
