No longer able to connect to router via IP address in browser or Orbi app

Connecting via IP returns

This site can’t be reached

10.0.0.1 refused to connect.

The app shows "We can't find your Orbi".

- I've tested on multiple devices (Windows, Mac, and iOS)

- Verified that the router responds to ping

- Rebooted the router

I am still able to connect to wifi on the router and am not facing any issues in terms of connectivity

    Hi brandobot,

I understand that you are having issues connecting to the Orbi admin page as well as the Orbi app. Which Orbi device and firmware do you have installed on your network?

    Best,

I have the RBR850 and RBS850. Unsure of firmware, but I check once a month manually and check for update, so it should be relatively up to date.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Factory reset the RBR and setup from scratch using a wired PC and web browser at HTTP 192.168.1.1. Don't use Orbi app.

  • I’m seeing the same issue, not able to connect with my pc or iPhone App to the router. For the price you pay you would except better reliability.
  • Same issue here on RBR750 with ATT BGW320 fiber gateway functioning in passthru mode.  Since it seems AT&T constantly sends out updates to their gateways without much in the way of notification or change logs, it seems a constant battle to ensure Orbi is able to function.  Typically requires a reboot of the router and a resync of the mesh nodes at least weekly.   Also the third time in the last 12 months to have to reset Orbi.  With over a hundred clients (including IoT devices) its quite a bit of work that shouldn't need to occur.  Off to reset land again (smh) sigh

It’s been frustrating here as well as I have many devices that need reconnecting.

I’m looking into the Ubiquiti routers and I’ve read these have much more reliability and functionality

Were you able to get router web page access using a factory reset?
