Can confirm that I am still seeing this issue (intermittently) under the latest firmware 7.2.8.2. Also with the RBS connected directly to the RBR, no switch between the two.
When the problem occurred I checked the IP address it had been assigned and it was in the 169.254.xxx.xxx range, suggesting the issue is with IP allocation. This particular device is set up to receive a static IP address from the Orbi so this should not be happening.
As before, the problem only seems to occur when moving to a wired backhaul satellite, and is very intermittent (once every couple of days at most). I've only personally observed this with an iPhone but then most of my other devices don't tend to roam around the house in the same way my phone does.
Is IPv6 enabled on the RBR?
What iOS is on the iPhone?
How is your RBS connected to the RBR? WIreless or ethernet?
How many RBS are you using and size of home please in sq feet?

The iPhone is using the latest iOS (26.1 at time of writing) but I've observed this exact problem on multiple iOS versions and Orbi firmwares going back at least five years now. The problem has existed as long as I have owned the system. I have Private Wi-Fi Address and Limit IP Tracking turned off in the phone's network settings, as per previous guidance.
I have two satellites, one wireless and one ethernet. As per our conversation in the other thread, my wired RBS is connected directly to the RBR with multiple other devices connected via a switch plugged into the RBS. Previously I had the switch between the RBS and the RBR and the problem was exactly the same, i.e. changing this over hasn't affected this issue. The problem only occurs when moving TO the ethernet satellite from one of the other two connections - and it doesn't always happen, i.e. it's not reliably repeatable. However switching the ethernet satellite to wireless does resolve the problem (I don't want to have to do that though).
I'm afraid I don't know how big the house is, it's an old house on three stories and the satellites are quite carefully positioned to eliminate blackspots owing to solid brick walls which are quite effective at blocking wifi signals.
I've reported this a few times throughout the years (as have others), it's always one of the first things I test when upgrading the Orbi firmware and it always seems to be the same.
And if RBS are BOTH Wireless connected is this problem seen?
How is the one RBS ethernet connected to the RBR? Directly behind the RBR or is there any kind of LAN switch or wall patch panel or jack in between them?
Is this issue seen if you turn OFF one RBS?Will need to have someone near you help you figure out the home size in sq feet.
If your house is old and seem to block good wifi signal, this maybe a building materials issue since you seem to be seeing this accross all FW and iOS versions. Any older homes with crecrete/steel or plaster and steel mesh, will be problematic for any wifi system.
