ORB RBR750 in combination with UBEE UBC1318ZG modem resulted in wireless speed decrease
Hi,
I recently switched to new ISP contract 1Gbit download/50Mbit upload.
With this change also the modem is exchanged by a UBEE UBC1318ZG modem. This modem is configured in bridge mode.
After this switch to the new UBC1318ZG modem the wireless download speed dropped on average below 450Mbit/sec. Satellite is positioned within 10 cm of my iMac. (Note: download speed with cable connection is 940 Mbit/sec).
During my previous ISP contract 600Mbit/sec download/40Mbit upload the wireless download speed was > 570Mbit. This in combination with a Compal CH7465LG-ZG modem.
UBC1318ZG Modem Firmware version:
Orbi RBR750 router with 2 satellites: wireless settings attached.
iMac 2020 (intel based) with OSX 12.5.1, wireless connected via 5 GHz.
What could be the root cause of this speed drop?

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Are you speed testing with a wired ethernet PC?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Please edit out any MAC Addresses or Product serial numbers before posting in public forums for security reasons.
