Orbi 960 not obtaing a DHCP address from upstream carrier 5G modem/router.

Thanks for the response. Very strange. There is a remote possibility that the gigabit LAN ports on the Nokia Fastmile 3 model 5G12-13W-A are not compatible with the multi-speed WAN port on the RBRE960 router. Ethernet ports contain internal software which enables each adapter to 'probe' the other adapter and determine the maximum speed that they both support.

This might explain why the HP zBook is able to connect but the RBRE960 router does not. A quick test would be to put a non-managed gigabit Ethernet switch between the Nokia and the Orbi. (gigabit switches are really inexpensive. 5-port models are under $20 on Amazon. My "box of stuff" has at least a half dozen that I have collected over the years.)
I dug out a 16 port 10/100/1G switch. connected it between the Nokia FastMile and the Netgear Orbi, and plugged the HP zBook into another port on the 16port switch. zBook worked fine, and so did the Orbi.
As a confirmation I removed the switch and plugged the HP zBook into one port on the Nokia, and the Netgear Orbi into the other port. HP zBook worked fine, but so did the Orbi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the first time that the Nokia connected to the Orbi had worked. After some experimenting this is what I discovered.
Nokia --> Netgear Orbi using a CAT7 (known good cable) Doesn't work.
Nokia --> Netgear Orbi using a CAT6 Works perfectly! Orbi statistics page shows a 1Gbps WAN connection, internet test speeds within expected range for a 5G internet connection.
Nokia --> Netgear Orbi using a Cat5e Works Perfectly! Orbi statistics page shows a 1Gbps WAN connection, internet test speeds within expected range for a 5G internet connection.
Tried 4 different cat7 cables from 3 different manufacturers, all know good cables, 1 brand new out of the manufacturing package, none of the 4 CAT7 cobles would work, tried several CAT6 cables and they all work fine.
Seems like a cabling issue. I've only used CAT6A STP and recently bought some CAT8A STP cable from Amazon. Zero issues with my RBR960 when it's online. I've never tried CAT7 anything.
