Orbi RBK752 causing 4G modem (c4r400) to lose internet connection every minute
I just recently got a Verizon Sim card with a GTEN c4r400 lte 4g modem for home internet. I'm in a rural area and don't have many options. I have a Verizon tower within line of site, and I have a Verizon phone that provides good connection at home.
However, I had to add a mesh network (orbi) so that my whole home has Wi-Fi. When I have the gten modem with built in wifi up, the connection is stable (only reaches 2 rooms in my house though), but once I disable the modem's wifi, and add the orbi router to extend coverage, my gten modem's internet light will go out and I'll lose connection every minute or so which is extremely annoying and frustrating.
I've done factory resets to both, and I've tried everything I can think of. Does anyone else have this issue or be willing to help solve my issue?
Thank you.

Why not leave the modem in router mode and put the orbi in access point mode?
Just make sure to use seperate ssid's and have them on different wifi channels to prevent interference
I agree with plemans that the most obvious solution is to set the GTEN 2.4G WiFi to a channel far away from the Orbi 2.4G WiFi.
The GTEN has no 5G WiFi, so the only possible interference would be on the 2.4G channel.
My first thought was, "Before blaming the Orbi, let's see what the GTEN documentation says about connecting routers to the device."
However, I was unable to find a user manual or 'support' option on the GTEN web page:

I appreciate your help. For some reason my Orbi switched back to router mode. I didn't realize it changed. I've switched it back to access point mode, and it's working great.Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Hi yukaveli,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are having connectivity issues when you integrate the Orbi into your network. Losing connection every other minute points to a compatibility issue. This usually happens when there are two or more router layer 3 devices in a network. Please change your RBR850 from router mode to access point mode (AP Mode). As plemans suggested changing the wifi channels is a good idea for network compatibility.
Below are instructions on how to change your RBR850 from router mode to AP mode:
On the router admin page navigate to the following:
- ADVANCED>Advance setup>Router/AP mode
- Then select the AP Mode radio button
Below are instructions on how to change your RBR850 WI-FI channels:
On the router admin page navigate to the following:
Select Wireless
Then choose a channel menu
(Best practice uses either 1,6, or 11 for 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi band)
Please let me know if you have any additional questions!!!
Best,
Kevin
