Orbi RBK753 connection through switch
I am looking to set up my orbi and connect satellite through a switch. I'm confused about IEEE. I'm thinking of purchasing GS316P for use. I need a switch as I will be adding security cameras using POE at a later time.

I believe that model switch should work with Orbi, though I don't have that model. Ones I do have that I know that do work:
NG GS-105/108v4 and GS308v3, D-Link DGS-105/108 and HP ProCurve 1400/1800 series switches work for Orbi systems.

There have been any number of posts describing how a switch is located at a central wiring hub with the Orbi router and satellites in different locations with only a single Ethernet cable installed to each location. This leads to disappointment.
If the switch is connected directly to one of the Orbi LAN ports and devices (satellites, cameras, etc.) are connected to the switch, that should work fine.
