orbi RBR350 how to connect to UK standard OUTREACH BT internet ASDL junction box.
trying to replace my Plusnet router that works fine plugged into the standard UK BT OPREACH ASDL junction box on the wall (MK4 type with separate phone and internet sockets) with my new ORBI (+2 satellites). Can connect from the router to devices but it can't make the link to the internet. Spent nearly 2 hours with the NETGEAR helpdesk including using the username@plusdsl.net PPPoE access codes but no luck. As there must be millions in the UK with this BTOUTREACH cable (not fibre connections) socket/set-up I was wondering if anyone had the problem and solved it?
If you are with Plusnet then you are using ADSL or VDSL (FTTC) which will require a modem. I don't think the Plusnet's combined modem/router allows you to put it in Bridge Mode (modem only).
You could buy a second hand Modem (HG612 ver 3B) off a well known auction site for around £15, or a Draytek Vigor 130 but these are much pricer.
If you had FTTP (if available in your area) then you would have automatically have an ONT (modem) which you could then plug the orbi straight into it, however I believe if you are with Plusnet then they don't currently offer any FTTP packages.

Something to reach out to the ISP about and see if they can help you get this working with out there hardware.

You do know that the RBR350 is only a Router, whereas the Plusnet router is a Modem & Router. You may have to do some reading on setting up Bridge mode, or you may have to purchase a separate modem

Ah, this is interesting. I spent a long time with the NETGEAR helpdesk trying to connect with the OUTREACH socket and this was not mentioned. Thanks, I will ask NETGEAR the specific question about the modem.
