Orbi RBR353 seperate 2.4 and 5GHz SSIDs
I have tried to turn on Telnet in the debug page, but it is not available anymore on newer firmwares I have come to understand. So is there any new/other way to seperate both bands SSIDs? The issue is the house where I installed it, has children using phones with only 2.4GHz support and there is a solar panel Wi-Fi device that needs a 2.4GHz SSID name only.
Or are they SOL and there are no workarounds anymore?
Thanks for reading!
OK. It is not possible. Sorry. Return it.

A phone that contains only 2.4G WiFi will "see" the Orbi 2.4G WiFi channel and connect. Such a phone cannot detect the 5G WiFi signal at all. Thus, it cannot be "confused".
These phones would be ideal for the original setup of an Internet of Things (IoT) device that has a poorly written app, because they can connect only at 2.4G. Once the setup is completed, the app can be run on any device.
You are one luck dude.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. It is a widespread problem and it is not an Orbi isolated problem. I am a pretty knowledgeable person about this kind of stuff and have done extensive research on this issue and have a lot of experience with these issues. Never knew the Orbi couldn't handle seperate SSIDs.
Either way, whatever is the case, with the devices I have issues with there, the problem goes away when the 5GHz band is disabled, the issues are gone. But that isn't a good solution đ
What would be the model of phones that have only 2.4G WiFi and cannot connect to an Orbi when the 5G WiFi is enabled?
